They want synergies: your niche, your clients, your geography.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Private Equity Buyers<\/strong> \u2013 financial investors who back roll-ups or platforms. They care about returns, but also about building value over a 3\u20137 year period.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Individual Buyers \/ Search Funds<\/strong> \u2013 entrepreneurs looking to buy themselves a business instead of starting one.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each has different goals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A strategic buyer might want to integrate your team and brand.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A PE buyer may want you to stay on and help grow a platform.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An individual might want you to stick around short-term to show them the ropes.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The same agency could get very different offers depending on the buyer type.
